MR. MANVENDRA KANE

Mr. Manvendra Kane is a senior member of the Dispute Resolution practice of The Firm. Manvendra qualified as an Advocate in 2000 and as a Solicitor from the Bombay Incorporated Law Society in 2001. He has been practicing since 2000. He completed his LL.M from the University of Mumbai in 2002 and the University of Warwick, U.K., in 2003. Manvendra is also qualified to practice as a Solicitor in the Supreme Court of England and Wales.

 

Before joining the Firm in November 2010, Manvendra was working with the leading Indian law firm, Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A Shroff & Co. (as it then was) for about seven years in the Dispute Resolution Team. He has also worked with M/s Udwadia, Udeshi & Berjis (as it then was) in the Litigation Team for about three years.

 

Manvendra has extensive experience in the field of arbitration and commercial litigation, having handled disputes in various sectors such as oil and gas, power projects, infrastructure contracts, mining projects, and municipal taxation. He also appears as an arguing counsel in matters before various courts including District Courts, High Courts, various Tribunals including National Company Law Tribunal, Securities and Appellate Tribunal; and quasi-judicial authorities such as Collector, Commissioner of Excise and Customs, Geologist, and Chief Conservator of Forests.

 

Manvendra was a ranked lawyer as per the Chambers Asia-Pacific 2018-19 rankings. Manvendra is also a member of the Indian Arbitration Forum (IAF).
